PostSubject: Does Pokémon count?   Does Pokémon count? Icon_minitimeFri Oct 09, 2009 4:07 am

I am cheating the system and restarted my platinum cartridge after obtaining Shaymin for the wifi event so I could get a second one. I dreamt last night I found a shiny somethingorother. It was really sad.

I used to play FFXI. I don't anymore. I was 75 SAM BST NIN COR BLU. I think. Beastmaster and Corsair were my favorite. I was on Sylph.

I'd probably put the Pokemon talk in the console discussion, you know, since it's on a hand-held console. I mean, there's no Poke-MMO, is there? confused

Actually there is a Pokemon MMO, though it sorta sucks. http://www.pokemonworldonline.net/

Pokemon is massively multiplayer, and kinda online... You can battle with folks all over the world on your DS if you know their pal code!

I don't think that fits the definition in mind. By that logic, you could say Diablo II or StarCraft are MMOs. A lot of people play them online, but you don't have enough players simultaneously in one environment for it to truly be "massive" so much as there happen to be large amounts of people playing the games among one another in closed sessions.

The message is in the person, not the word/term. By my definition, Diablo and starcraft, along with warcraft2/3 are MMOs.

Well, we're going to be going by the abovementioned definition for now. geek

I won't live my life by your zany standards. I reject your reality and inject my own!
